Dr. C. Peeper McDonald (she/her/hers) has a huge passion for excellence and intentionality which helps her elevate those around her to fulfill their full potential. She holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Practice and is a National Certified Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, and an Approved Clinical Supervisor. 

She is currently an Assistant Professor at Agnes Scott College in the Psychology and Counseling departments. Her research and clinical interests include: Professional identity, social justice and advocacy issues, and multicultural issues in counseling. She has presented and published on these topics, with specific focus on the racial mislabeling, color-blindness and discrimination, and identity development of Multiracial individuals. As a Biracial, but White-presenting person, she loves learning about the complex nature of Multiracial identity and the roles privilege and oppression play within these intersectional identities and how these impact those in our community.

Catherine Y. Chang (Catharina), Ph.D., LPC, CPCS, NCC

Dr. Chang (she/her/hers) is a Professor at Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA, where she also serves as the Director of International Programs for the College of Education and Human Development. She earned her undergraduate degree from Davidson College and completed her master’s and doctoral degrees at the University of North Caroline at Greensboro.

With a focus on social justice and advocacy, multicultural counseling competence, counselor training and supervision, as well as counseling implications for Asian American and Korean American clients, Dr. Chang is a leading scholar in her field. Her commitment to mentorship extends to students and early career professionals from minoritized populations, driven by a strong belief in the transformative power of representation.

With an impressive academic record, Dr. Chang has authored over 100 publications and delivered over 175 presentations, workshops, and initiation addresses. Her leadership roles include President of the Association for Assessment and Research in Counseling (AARC), President of the Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development (AMCD), and President of Chi Sigma Iota-International (CSI). Additionally, she held the position of chairperson for the American Counseling Association (ACA) Foundation.

Dr. Chang’s exemplary contributions have garnered recognition through various awards such as, the CSI Jane E. Myers Lifetime Mentor Award, David K. Brooks Jr., Distinguished Mentor Award, CSI Thomas J. Sweeney Professional Leadership Award, ACA Thomas J. Sweeney Award for Visionary Leadership and Advocacy, and the Alumni Excellence Award from the Department of Counseling and Educational Development at UNCG. Notably, she is an ACA Fellow. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a National Certified Counselor, and a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor.

Diane Levy, Ph.D., LPC, CPCS, ACS, NCC

Dr. Levy (she/her/hers) has devoted most of her career to the education, training, and development of early career counselors: first as a full-time professor teaching and supervising graduate level students in Georgia State University’s Department of Counseling and Psychological Services and then as the founding director of Advanced Counseling Supervision and Training.

She joined the faculty at Georgia State after working as a practicing clinician at the Atlanta Relationship Center. Her move to academia was sparked by the thought that her contribution to the field would be better served through teaching rather than practice.

During her tenure at Georgia State, her teaching and research focused on counselor development and evaluation. She developed the skills component of the counseling curriculum for the Department into a three-tiered model. The model included a semi-manualized instruction of the master’s level course, doctoral training in the instruction and evaluation of basic skills, a required introductory course in Motivational Interviewing (MI) for master’s level students and a MI training course for doctoral students.

As the founding director of Advanced Counselor Training and Development, Dr. Levy and her team provided clinical supervision to those working toward licensure, developed and delivered many workshops focused on supervision as an area of expertise, led workshops for those seeking their supervision credential, and mentored supervisors in consultation groups “sup of sup” to insure intentionality and excellence in supervision.

Throughout her career, Dr. Levy received outstanding education and mentorship from other professionals and mentors. She is passionate about giving back to a new generation of counselors.

Mary Chase Mize, Ph.D., LPC, ACS, CT

Dr. Mary Chase Mize (she/her/hers) is an assistant professor of clinical mental health counseling at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), and is Certified in Thanatology – Death, Dying, and Bereavement (CT). She earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education, MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and MA in Gerontology from Georgia State University.

As an academic, Dr. Mize enjoys teaching courses in lifespan development, crisis, trauma, and grief, group counseling, assessment, and psychopharmacology. Her research is focused on community-based suicide intervention and prevention efforts with older adults, equipping faith-based communities respond to suicide, and preparing counselors to work with older adult clients.

As a clinician, Dr. Mize has worked in hospital, community mental health, and private practice settings. She has worked in the emergency room and inpatient psychiatric stabilization units at Emory University Hospital – Decatur (formerly DeKalb Medical), and with older adults and their families at Jewish Family & Career Services of Atlanta.

Dr. Mize now manages Seek and Find Counseling and Consulting, a small private practice where she provides counseling services to older adults and individuals experiencing grief, bereavement, death anxiety, major life transitions, and suicide ideation and loss. She also serves as a professional consultant and co-author to The Keep/Watch Project, an effort from the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta to equip religious and spiritual communities with suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention response skills.

Kristina Henderson, Ph.D., LPC, CRC, CVE, CPCS

Dr. Kristina Henderson (she/her) has a strong drive for preparing others to become confident counselors and leaders in the field. Dr. Henderson earned her Ph.D. in Counseling and Student Development with an emphasis in Counselor Education and Supervision from Kansas State University, and a Master of Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Kentucky. She has been a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor for over 25 years, a Georgia Licensed Professional Counselor since 2001, and a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor since 2014. She is an Associate Professor and the Program Coordinator for the Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling at Mercer University.


Dr. Henderson has spent much of her career in clinical services. Her experience includes working as a counselor for the Department of the Army, as a Rehabilitation Counselor for the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency, and as Director of Counseling and Disability Services within the University System of Georgia before shifting focus to academia. She has a passion for addressing the intersection of identities, and she believes strongly that it’s necessary to prepare not only with skills and knowledge but also with connectedness to the profession and an awareness of attitudes and environmental barriers that impede the success of our clients. Her research and clinical interests also include attitudes toward persons with disabilities and other marginalized groups, the intersectionality of identities, and the ethics of competency in scope of practice.

Danielle Dunkley, PhD, LPC, ACS, NCC

Dr. Danielle Dunkley (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia, Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), National Certified Counselor (NCC), as well as a counselor educator at Agnes Scott College. She received her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision and Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University in Atlanta. She has worked in community mental health, school-based settings, and private practices.

Dr. Dunkley maintains a caseload of clients at Atlanta Wellness Collective. Her clients enter with a variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression, cultural identity issues, grief or loss, life transitions, gender and sexuality issues, crisis and trauma, relational issues, self-esteem and self-worth issues, and religious or spiritual issues. She focuses her service on clients who hold systemically marginalized identities and who have experienced personal or intergenerational trauma. Dr. Dunkley has academic training and clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She has also supervised counselors-in-training at Agnes Scott College, Mercer University, and University of West Georgia in clinical mental health counseling and school counseling tracks.

Kate Dorrough, LPC, CRC, NCC

Kate Dorrough (she/her) loves teaching and facilitating learning spaces in which students can create meaning. Kate has been a guest lecturer at Mercer University, a co-instructor at Agnes Scott College, and an instructor at University of Georgia. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from the University of Minnesota, and her Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from Mercer University. Currently, Kate is currently a doctoral candidate in University of Georgia’s Counselor Education & Supervision program.

Kate is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and Certified Art4Healing® Facilitator. She is the Lead Clinical Case Manager at Wellspring Living’s Women’s Academy where she serves domestic sex trafficking survivors and those at-risk. Kate is dedicated to building out the clinical case management model at Women’s Academy in collaboration with her supervisees. She specializes in working with participants with disabilities, eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image concerns.

Kimberly Sims, LMFT

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and approved Georgia Clinical supervisor. I have over a decade of experience working in crisis and acute care facilities, community mental health, and private practice, and have provided clinical supervision to

individuals in all stages of their clinical development.

I work to create a safe and inclusive space where clients and supervisees

can feel heard, supported, and empowered. I provide affirming and non-

judgmental support to individuals with diverse sexual orientations, gender

identities, and non-traditional lifestyles. I believe that every person is

unique and deserves a personalized therapeutic plan.

I strive to incorporate effective and research-based interventions when

working with clients and encourage my supervisees to stay curious. When

conceptualizing a treatment strategy, I incorporate Acceptance and

Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and the Gottman Method.

Life can throw us unexpected situations, and I';m here to help you and your

clients navigate through them. My goal is to empower you to feel confident

in how you support your clients as they work through difficult areas in their

Kimberly Sims, LMFT

Kimberly Sims, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and approved Georgia Clinical Supervisor, brings over a decade of experience working in crisis and acute care facilities, community mental health, and private practice. Zoe S Wade, LPC, CPCS

Zoe S. Wade is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Clinical Professional Certified Supervisor (CPCS) based in Georgia. She specializes in addressing work-related stress, relationships, grief, and life transitions. Her educational journey began with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Clark Atlanta University, followed by a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Hampton University.

With a decade of experience in mental health across diverse settings, she brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her work. Zoe is passionate about teaching, encouraging, and uplifting others. Having navigated the challenges and rewards of becoming a therapist, she deeply understands the importance of support throughout the journey. She offers a clinical and person-centered approach that emphasizes both education and empowerment.

Through her online clinical supervision for individuals pursuing licensure in Georgia, Zoe provides valuable guidance on critical aspects of mental health practice, including:
