This course examines the microaggressive experiences of multiracial individuals within counseling and counselor education settings. Participants will explore racial invalidation, identity-based assumptions, and the impact of microaggressions on emotional well-being, counseling relationships, and outcomes. The course also offers culturally responsive strategies—including broaching, microinterventions, advocacy, and critical self-reflection—to help counselors, educators, and supervisors create safer and more inclusive environments.
